Pre-Diabetic

Today I had an appointment with my primary physician. I had recently had some bloodwork done to test my thyroid, which is usually an ongoing problem. She had also checked my Hemoglobin A1c, which determined that I was pre-diabetic. That was not what I wanted to hear. Hearing that only solidified my decision to get the Lap Band. I definitely don’t want to end up a diabetic. After that I told her about my decision to get the Lap Band. She was very supportive of that idea. She said that she was going to put me on Metformin but decided not to since I told her I was having Lap Band surgery.
